Robert Harold Kuehl

Robert H. Kuehl, 72, of Davenport, IA, Passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 at Geneses East. Family and Friends are invited to a celebration of life at 10:00 am on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Faith United Church of Christ. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Robert was born to Albert and Hannora (McDonald) Kuehl on April 11, 1944. He was united in marriage to Gloria Strackbien in 1968. He graduated from Central High School in 1963. Robert retired from Davenport Fire, Department in 1987 and later was employed by the Scott Sheriff’s Department and Genesis West Physical Therapy Transporters. Robert was a member of the Elks, Quad Cities Bass Club, Faith United Church of Christ and County Music Association. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Robert cherished time with his grandchildren. Those left to honor his memory include: his wife of 47 years, Gloria; daughters: Dawn (Tommy) Pickett, Blue Grass and Barbara (Kuehl) Candelaria, CO; sons: Bobby and Terry Kuehl, CO; grandchildren: Savanna Pickett, Brianna Pickett, Ryan Candelaria, Brandon (Emily) Schadt; great grandchildren: Lydia and Landyn Schadt: sister, Nancy Moore: brothers: Dwayne, Jerry and Larry Moore, He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Mary Ann King and Alberta Moore.
