Glenn was born in the mountains of Johnson City, Tennessee. He joined the Army in 1958 and was stationed in Germany. He remained a patriotic man his whole life. After his discharge, he moved to Davenport, IA, where he met his wife. They were married for over 65 years with three children, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Glenn worked for the Davenport Schools and was an expert painter and retired in 2002.
He was a fan of music spanning many genres and decades. He often said, “I don’t know what I would do without music.” He loved old movies and golf which became even more of a passion after retirement. His love of music, dancing, golf and animals will be how he’s remembered the most by family and those who knew him.
In his final days, Glenn said, “We are only on this earth for a short while. I’ve had a good life and I’ve had fun.” We are certain he is now dazzling heaven with his fancy footwork while being the life of the party in true “Claw” style.
