Robert “Bob” E. Wayt II, 82, of Davenport passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Genesis East Medical Center. A Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday also at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Private inurnment will take place at the Rock Island National Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be left to Jr. League Bowling. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Bob was born on February 21, 1940 in Davenport to Robert E. and Ellen (Warner) Wayt Sr. He proudly enlisted in the United States Navy from 1960-1962. Bob worked as a machinist at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring after 20 years. Bob can best be remembered for his 50 plus years teaching Jr. League Bowling, he was a member of the Davenport Bowling Association Hall of Fame, Drag Boat Racing, and Drag Car Racing. He also loved to travel out west and enjoyed a good game of golf with his friends.
Survivors include his children, Tony (Karen) Frazier, Stacy (Brian) Luebbe, Jaqui Wayt, Mindy Wayt, Mitchell (Janelle) Wayt and Goddaughter, Misty Dawn Thiltgen; Grandchildren, Troy, Celsey, Morgan, Jon, Kevin and Joy; Great Grandchildren, Kolten, Easton, Logan, Hudson, Macy, Harper and Siblings, Sara, Starr and David.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diane and daughter, Amy.
