

Funeral services for Roberta J. “Bobbi” Naber, 82, of Davenport will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:30 until service time at the mortuary. Bobbi died on Monday July 25, 2016 at the Kahl home in Davenport.Roberta Jean Wixom was born on November 24, 1933 in LaSalle, IL, the daughter of Frederick and Florence (Lijewski) Wixom. She married Henry Kmieciak in 1951 and later married Donald Naber. Shortly therafter she became a partner and companion with Loramae “Bobbi” Tesch for the next 46 years. She preceded her in death in September of 2009. Bobbi was employed by the Marley Pump (Red Jacket) for many years retiring in 1992. She had previously worked at Long Manfacturing for 20 years and also at the former Service Rubber Company. In her earlier years Bobbi bowled in several area bowling leagues and also enjoyed playing softball. She most especially enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin at the cottage she and her partner built. She was an avid photographer even doing some wedding work and loved to play Eucher with family and friends. She even enjoyed an occasional visit to the river boats. She was a member of the Hallmark and Coca Cola Clubs, QCT Plus 60 Club and AARP. She had also attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Surviving members of the family include – her Sister: Lois Levetzow of Davenport; an Aunt: Shirley Petzel of Peru, IL; 2 Nieces: Sharon (Tom) Elliott and Debbie (Scott) Smull; 2 Nephews: Howard (Cathy) Tatge and Jason (Korrie) Tatge.She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Barbara Huffman, a brother James Wixom, and her longtime companion: Loramae “Bobbi” Tesch. Bobbi will not be traveling alone in her time of death as her two little dogs, Shadow and Sami are going with her.The family would like to extend a special thanks to her niece Debra Smull for stopping by every day after work to visit with her and also to her special friends Colleen Berner and Shirley Gunsolley for all of their help these last 5 months.Memorials may be made to the Scott County Humane Society.
