Roger W. Ruppel, 71, of Bettendorf passed away at his home on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Thursday, June 20, 2013 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. There will be no visitation. Roger served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division from 1960-1963. On February 12, 1965 he married Ann Keigan in Webster City, Iowa. For twelve years he was employed in manufacturing in Webster City. After moving to Bettendorf he was employed by Titan Wheel, retiring in 2006.
His memberships included the American Legion and the Antique Motorcyle Club of America.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; son and daughter-in-law Kyle and Julia Ruppel of Iowa City; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Larry Jacobson of Woolstock, Iowa and brother and sister-in-law Rick and Mary Ruppel of Story City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Milton and Ruth Ruppel.
