Ronald Hoffmann

Ronald Lee Hoffmann, 68, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Bettendorf Health Care. Cremation rites will be provided. A Celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Empowering Abilities, 4201 Brady Street in Davenport.

Ron was born in Davenport on September 26, 1957. He was the son of Roland Carl and Meryl (Schepers) Hoffmann. He graduated from Truman High School and worked for Empowering Abilities (formerly HDC) for numerous years. He loved socializing and could be found “kickin up his heels” while listening to a variety of music.

His enthusiasm was contagious, and he loved helping and supporting his fellow friends including those with hearing disabilities through sign language. He even earned the title, “Participant of the Year” award through the Personal Independence Service.

Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings: Roger (Roberta) Hoffmann, Bettendorf, Dennis Hoffmann and Charles Hoffmann, both of Donahue, IA; Elaine Hoffmann, DeWitt and Janice (Tom) Persinger, Waukee, IA; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of friends at Empowering Abilities. His parents and brothers, Lowell and James preceded him in death.
