Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time at the mortuary. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. Memorials may be made to Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation.

Ronald was born on October 26, 1926 in Clinton, Iowa the son of Wildermuth Rankin and Gladys Jepsen.
Ronald was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, painting, and loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his mother, sister Marcia Frields, and brother Keith Rankin.
