Per Ronnie’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. The family plans to have a celebration of life to honor both Ron and his beloved wife, Sherry, who preceded him in death on August 14, 2019, at a later date.
Ronnie was born on December 10, 1943 to Wilbur and Florence (Ellis) Patterson in Muscatine, IA. He proudly served his country from 1962 – 1966, where he was stationed on the USS Independence Ship in the United States Navy. After his years in the Navy he worked at Alcoa. His lifelong dream was to open a bakery but he opted for a more financially secure career.
Ron was a devoted husband, caring father, and throughout his life until his last days a proud man with his daughter, Roxann and niece, Jody by his side at all times, along with Brian and Pete. He also truly loved his grandchildren, Luke, Morgan and Lexi.
