Ronald "Ron" H. Schulte

Ronald “Ron” Schulte, 61, of Bettendorf, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024 at his home surrounded by his beloved family. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 3:30pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1pm and go until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ron’s name may be made to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

Ron was born on July 27, 1962 in Moline, IL to Leonard and Nancy Schulte. Following high school, he started his apprenticeship and went on to work for WF Scott Decorating; he retired in 2018. Ron was united in marriage to Cynthia Friedman on March 26, 1988. He enjoyed golfing, a cold Coors Light on a hot day in his pool, and dinner parties with family and friends. Ron’s second love, after his family, was his Jeep. He was very talented and loved to work with his hands. If Ron could think of it, he could build it, fix it, or paint it.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife of 35 years, Cindy; daughter Lindsey Remus; son Jon (Madison) Schulte; grandchildren Alyvia and Ayden Remus; his mother Nancy Schulte; sisters Jean (Jeff) Yerkey, Mary (Dan) DuPrey; brother John (Linda) Schulte; mother-in-law Pat McGraw; sisters-in-law Sandy (Darrell) Brockman, Susan (Kerry) Hartmann, Jackie (Eric) Hallman, Pam (Bill) Newton; and brother-in-law Greg (Paul) McGraw; his beloved dog Molly; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Schulte; father-in-law Lee McGraw; brother-in-law Curt Hallman; and niece Erin Castens.
