Graveside services for Ronald E. Sherrill, 70, of Davenport will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Those wishing to attend services should gather at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Mr. Sherrill passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Manor Care in Davenport. Ronald Edwin Sherrill was born on December 9, 1944 in Keokuk, IA, the son of Donald and Helen (Schaffer) Sherrill. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Prior to his retirement, Ronald was a machine operator at Purina in Davenport. He will be fondly remembered as a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather of two. He is survived by his Children: Michael Sherrill of Davenport, Shawna Sherrill of Davenport, and Daniel Sherrill of Cottonwood, AZ. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
