Ronald “Ron” H. Winckler, 75, of Davenport passed away on May 23, 2021 at his home. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at West Side Assembly of God Church, 3908 W. River Drive, Davenport. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Le Claire, IA. Ron was born on September 26, 1945 in Davenport, IA to Otto and Lillian (Triebel) Winckler. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1963. Ron worked 38 years as a Home Builder. He owned McCoy Winckler. He retired from the City of Bettendorf as a building inspector. Ron was a member of Westside Assembly Church and was involved with many church organizations. He was as a Boy Scout leader and was active in Dad’s Club. Ron was also an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and Master of the deal.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Randy Deeds, Lesa (Craig) Stroup, Susan (Jim) Laures and Ron Winckler; eight grandchildren; sister, Karen Radcliff and a brother-in-law, Kenny Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Evans.
