Rosaltha L. (Rose) Wade

Rosaltha (Rose) Wade, 97, of Davenport passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Buffalo. Online condolence may be expressed by visiting www.rungemortuary.com.

She was born on June 3, 1919 in Jefferson, OK the daughter for Samuel and Annie (Chance) Murphey. Rosie was united in marriage to John Wade, Sr. on August 20, 1940. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1989. Rosie enjoyed crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the time she spent with them. Those left to honor her memory include her grandchildren: Tammy (Michael) Loos, Raymond (Sandy) LaGrange, Rosalind (Eric) Barr, Elizabeth Larson (Mark Sieling), Stacey (Albert) Wentz and Lucretia (Jim) Schmidt; twenty-six great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; brother, Cecil Murphey and sister, Evelyn Lewis.Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Wade, Sr.; son, John Wade, Jr. and Darrel Wade; grandson, John Wade III and granddaughter, Tina Wade.The family would like to express the deepest gratitude to Beacon of Hope Hospice for helping to grant her wish to spend her final days at home with family.
