

He was born the third child of a large and loving family in Aurora, Illinois. He was a Korean War veteran, then was employed by the railroad as a machinist for 17 years and afterwards as a construction superintendent throughout the Midwest until retirement.
He was an avid cubs and bears fan, enjoyed fishing and winter vacations in Florida and Alabama. He had a unique sense of humor.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sonja, sons, Anthony (his loving caregiver), Guy (Christelle), daughter, Leeann, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Hildy, a brother-in-law, Joe, two sisters, Josie and Rosemary, two brothers, Butch and John (Ann), and many nieces and nephews.
In life, Rudolph chose to make a donation to the University of Iowa anatomy department, with the hopes that his contribution would aid new doctors and nurses in learning more about his various ailments, and how to treat and cure them for future generations.
