Ruth Anna Griffin

Ruth Anna Griffin, 92, of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Iowa Masonic.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
Ruth was born on August 24, 1926 to Earl and Cora (Kemp) Minner in Greensboro, Maryland. She was united in marriage to William W. Griffin. She worked at Con Agra Foods for over 20 years before retiring.
Ruth was a hardworking, selfless, caretaker, who loved her children and was a strong family oriented woman. She was a people person who was loved by all. Everyone who knew her called her “Grammy”. Some of the hobbies she enjoyed were needlepoint, sewing and reading. She also enjoyed walking to uptown in Delaware.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayne (Marilyn) Griffin of Eldridge, Iowa and Jay Griffin of Davenport, Iowa; grandson, Bruce (Sandra) Griffin of Eldridge, Iowa; great granddaughter, Lauren; siblings, Nathan Minner of Indiana, Virginia Twilley of Delaware, and Richard Minner of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Margaret Moore of Delaware, Robert Minner of Maryland, Helen Spencer of Maryland, Floyd Minner of Delaware, John Minner of Maryland, Hilda Morris of Delaware, and William Minner of Maryland.
