

Sally Racine Oosterhuis, 85 of Bettendorf, passed away on August 10, 2025, unexpectedly at her home. Per her wishes she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Davenport. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Sally was born on August 9, 1940, in Chicago, Il to Charles “Richard” and Ruth (Horrell) Racine. She married Donald Toll on June 20, 1959, in Milwaukee; he preceded her in death in 1985. She was united in marriage to John Oosterhuis on September 27, 1997, in DeWitt, IA. Sally worked for Northwest Bank and Trust as a real estate specialist. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral where she served on the Vestry, Alter Guild and sang in the choir.
Sally enjoyed spending many vacations in the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota with her husband John. She had many talents including, canoeing, cooking, gardening, knitting, and was an accomplished seamstress. She had a love for animals, especially her dear dogs and cats.
She is survived by her loving husband John; children, John (Mandy) Toll, Kathleen (Bruce Pauly) Stabler, Kimberly Toll, Douglas Oosterhuis and David (Phoebe) Oosterhuis; grandchildren, Christopher, Johnathan, Nathaniel, Andrew, Edward, Josephine, Madeline, Mia, Sabrina, Johnny and Evie; great-grandchildren, Avery and Ryan; brother, Dick Racine.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Toll, sisters, Jane and Ruth.
