Samuel L. Vuckovic, 64, of Davenport, IA passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at his home. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 2, 2022 at Weerts Funeral Home. Memorials may be left to the family. Sam was born on April 8, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA to Samuel and Shirley Vuckovic. He graduated from Penn Hills High School. He married Kim Soppe in 1998, they later divorced. Sam started his career in transportation in Kansas City, MO. He then relocated to the Quad Cities working for Consolidated Freight. In 1987, he began a new career in livestock and crops. In 2003, Sam was the owner operator for S&S Trucking, retiring in 2010 but he continued to farm where he loved tinkering. He was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan and had a love for Science Fiction and Svengoolie movies.
Survivors include his stepson, Sebastian (Kristen) West; sons, Samuel “Sam” (Ember Goodman) Vuckovic, Stanley “Stan” Vuckovic; grandson, Axell; brother, Stanley Vuckovic; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife, Kim.
