She will be laid to rest with her loving husband, James, in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. There will be a private family committal with no public services.
Sandra was born April 4, 1954 in Oelwein, Iowa, to Edwin and Evelyn (Brickman) Diercks. She was united in marriage to James Madison on September 1, 2005, he passed away October 20, 2023. She worked for many years with H & R Block as a tax preparer.
She is survived by her children, Amanda (Timothy) Schiller, Rock Island, IL, Samantha (Paul) Kissell, Eldridge, IA, Amber (Kevin) Petersen, Eldridge, IA, and Gabrielle (Will) Goemaat, Eldridge, IA; grandchildren, Taylor Schiller, Alexis and Riley Kissell, Jasmine Bailey, Ciera, Bryce, and Aiden Goemaat; and great grandchildren, Lucas Fuhs-Fowler and Maddie Anderson.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, parents, aunties, and uncles.
