

Cremation will be done with a celebration of life held at the Kewanee VFW Post 8078 on Saturday November 8, 2025, from 2:00p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorials in her name can be made to the Henry County Humane Society. Please share condolences with the family at www.rungemortuary.com.
Sandra was born on December 25, 1945, in Moline, IL, to Wilber & Barbara (Van Sickle) Horn. She was united in marriage to Joseph Moraski in 1967, in Kewanee, IL. They later divorced and he passed away in 2008. Sandra had been employed for 30 years with Peoples National Bank of Kewanee as a teller at the south town branch, retiring in 2008. Her outgoing personality, infectious smile, and pleasant demeanor earned her the nickname “South Town Sandy”. Sandy was active in in the VFW Post 8078 Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 31 Kewanee, IL.
Sandy was a very sociable person and never met a stranger. Her smile and a positive outlook made her a joy to talk with. Her love for animals was strong, especially with her dogs Buddy, Tipsy, & Tator.
Survivors include her daughter, Sonia (Sean Nehlsen) Moraski, Davenport, IA; a sister, Vickie (David) Reeves, Moline, IL; a sister-in-law, Diane Boyer; and a nephew, Ryan Boyer.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rhonda Moraski; and a brother, Steve Boyer.
