Scott Alan Jones

Scott Alan Jones, 68, of Davenport, died on February 1, 2026, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, at Rudy’s Tacos in the East Village, 2214 E 11th St, Davenport, IA 52803.

Scott was born in Davenport in 1957, to parents Marlow and Phyllis (Erdahl) Jones. After high school, Scott followed in his father’s footsteps and became a scuba instructor, which became his passion and purpose. He received many certifications during his decades as a scuba diver and went on to own QC Scuba Adventures, passed down from his father.

Scott lived an eventful life, filled with travels and adventures. His legacy will be defined by him sharing his love of diving with thousands of others. He gave many people their dreams through his knowledge and passion. His life provided him with many friends and students that loved him dearly.

Scott is survived by his wife, Connie Barry-Jones; his brother, Michael (Wendy) Jones; his children, Nathan (Katlynn) Dailey, Joshua Jones, James (Janet) Barry, and Anita (David) Head; his many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his parents and his two brothers, Dennis and Mark Jones.
