Scott Douglas Oetzel

Funeral services will 10:00am Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation is 4-8pm Wednesday at the mortuary with burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Davenport. Memorials may be made to his family and online condolences can be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.

Scott was born June 3, 1971 in Davenport to Michael & Nancy (Scott) Oetzel. He was married to Teresa Estabrook, they later separated and he married Lynn Ellsworth.

Scott was a self-employed truck driver & mechanic. He loved hanging out with his friends working on & talking about Harleys & cars like his favorite the GTO.

Scott was very social and never met a stranger. He had a strong love for his family, especially his kids.

Survivors include daughters Stephanie Oetzel, Davenport & Grace Oetzel, Durant; son Jaxson Oetzel, Durant; Step children Zach & Megan Anfinson, Durant; parents Michael & Nancy Oetzel, Davenport; sisters Lori Oetzel & Frances Hall, both Davenport; Brother Michael (Aimee) Oetzel Jr. Rock Island; nieces & nephews; and his trucking partner & dog Sophie.

Scott was preceded in death by a son Gregory Thomas Oetzel “GTO”.
