Shannon D. Collier

A celebration of life will be held at the Runge Mortuary on Wednesday, August 28, from 4-6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family.

Shannon was born on January 22, 1972 in Kansas City, MO, to Harlan and Roberta (Russell) Peterson. On August 8, 2008 she was united in marriage to David Collier in Blue grass, IA. They enjoyed 16 years of marriage. She graduated from Capri College and eventually became an instructor.

Shannon was God fearing and in the mornings she would begin each day with her daily devotionals. She enjoyed being outside, working in the yard, classic cars, and her dogs Bella and Daisy. She loved spending time with her family and beloved grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, David; children, Shane Keegan of Blue Grass, IA, Shawn (Jessica) Keegan of Bettendorf, IA, Chad (Dolores) Keegan of Davenport, IA, Josh (Hope) Keegan of Bettendorf, IA, and John (Taylor) Keegan of Davenport, IA; brother-in-law, Dave Walker of Burlington, IA; in-laws, Bill and Judy Collier; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren that she cherished and loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lisa Walker; and brother, Lane “Tiger” Peterson.
