Sharon Kay Walters, 67, of Bettendorf, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Genesis West in Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the mortuary. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials may be made to the Lungevity Organization or Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City. Online condolences may be made at www.rungemortuary.com. On June 1, 1963 she married Robert E. Walters in Smithfield, Illinois. She was a member of Bettendorf VFW Post 9128 Auxiliary. Her hobbies included going to garage sales with her granddaughter, making crafts for family and friends, planting flowers and visiting on the telephone. She was a very caring and giving person who always put others first. Her family and spending time with them was always her first priority. Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Bob; children and spouses: Sandy and Martin Saldano, James and Laurie Walters and Shoshana and Michael White; grandchildren: Dawson, Jordan, Nathan, Carson, Cody and Harmony; sisters Betty Buffum and Earline Burke and a brother, Dennis Johnson. She was preceded in death by fourteen siblings.

I still can't believe you are gone, Mom. You were the best mom anyone could ask for. You were a selfless, giving, loving woman that cared about anyone you ever met. I will always try to be as giving and loving as you and instill the values you gave me in our children. As you thought we were your angels, you are now ours. I love you, Mom.
