Davenport Funeral services for Sheila A. Smith, age 65, of Davenport, IA, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Ms. Smith died on Saturday, March 14, 2009 as a result of injuries sustained in a train-pedestrian accident.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in charge of arrangements.Sheila Anne Kroeger was born on April 26, 1943 to Clarence and Frankie (Jones) Kroeger in Davenport, IA. Ms. Smith worked for Lusk Candy, Hiland Potato Chips, and Brach’s Candy for 16 years. For the past 12 years, she worked in housekeeping at the Rhythm City Casino in Davenport. She enjoyed playing Bingo, spending time with her grandchildren, and was an active member of Living Hope Community Church in Davenport.Survivors include 3 Daughters: Lisa (Steven Stroud) Roenfeldt of Centerville, IA; Christine (Thomas Williams) Salek of Clemens, IA; Denise Wagner of Davenport; 2 Sons: Sean (Ann Winkler) Smith of Davenport; Geiger Smith of Davenport; 2 Brothers: Scott Kroeger of Davenport; Dave Kroeger of Davenport; 4 grandchildren: Erica, Benjimin, Von, and Presley.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Kroeger, and a sister, Sherry Graham.Memorials may be directed to the family.
