Shelbia Jean Bennett, 73, of Davenport, Iowa passed away Friday, September 25, 2020. Per her request cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Shelbia’s memory may be made to the family.
Shelbia was born on February 11, 1947 to Jean and Lois Bennett in Morrison, Arkansas. Following high school, she got her Bachler’s degree as a Registered Nurse; Shelbia retired after 45 years in 2017. Shelbia loved to care for those around her, whether it be cooking, cleaning, or watching after her beloved grandchildren. In her free time she also enjoyed going to the casino.
Those left to honor her memory are her children Beverlee Bennett, Kansas City, Mo, Amos Manley Jr. Atlanta, GA, Jereall Manley, Rock Island, IL, and Latosha Bennett Davenport, IA; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings Patricia Anderson and Darnell Seawright. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Freshelle Johnson and Shela Johnson.
