The family will greet friends 10:00am to 12:00PM on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm in the Runge Chapel. Shelly was born April 10, 1969, in Davenport, IA to Margarito “Skip” & Margie (Guyot) Saldivar. She had been employed at Estwing manufacturing in Rockford, IL for several years until she moved back to Bettendorf, IA.
Shelly enjoyed music, dancing, roller skating, and spending time with her friends and family including her two Chihuahuas.
Shelly is survived by 3 sisters Theresa Saldivar-Meraz, Sally Saldivar, & Sherri (William) Carter; 3 brothers Michael Sean (Christy) York, Ryan (Meranda) Saldivar, & Corey Rejba; numerous nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews; & cousins.
Shelly was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Mark Saldivar, Todd Saldivar, & Gary York Jr.
