Sonia was born on May 20, 1956 in Burlington, the daughter of Fred and Elsie (Nelson) Drebenstedt. She was married to Robert Riggs Jr. with whom she had two children.
Sonia graduated from AIC. She enjoyed working for New Choices and being able to assist others in need. Sonia also enjoyed camping, reading, and was looking forward to gardening this spring.
Those left to honor her memory include, children, Kelley (Scott) Gerdts, and Adam Riggs; grandchildren, Tyler, Cassidy, Rilynn, Henry, and Brooklyn; 2 brothers; 2 sisters; and best friends, Roger and Kathy.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
