

Funeral services for Stella M. Corvaia, 93, of Davenport will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Davenport. Family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Corvaia passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements. Stella Marie Thomas was born on February 17, 1922 in Centerville, IA, the daughter of Tony and Anna (Sikic) Thomas. On April 6, 1940, she married Pete Corvaia in Centerville. He preceded her in death in 1994. For 21 years, Stella worked as a shirt presser for both Evans Cleaners and Burke Cleaners in Davenport. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church and Davenport Women of the Moose. She is survived by 5 Grandchildren: Michael (Amy) Saskowski of Davenport; Matthew (Angie) Saskowski of West Des Moines, IA, Katherine (Matt) Chorzempa of Cedar Rapids, IA; Christopher (Kimberly) Roenfeldt of Napa, CA, Jennifer (Geoffrey) Dix of Broomfield, CO; Sons-in-Law: Lee Saskowski of The Villages, FL, John Roenfeldt of Littleton, CO; and several Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two Daughters: Patricia Roenfeldt and Josephine Saskowski; Granddaughter: Kimberly Saskowski; Brother: Vance Thomas; Sister: Eva Lineville; and Half-Sister: Frances Quinn.
