Steven K. Schaefer

Steven K. Schaefer, 63, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home in Davenport; after battling a brain tumor diagnosed in 2004. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 20, 2015 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Bettendorf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Steve was a graduate of Bettendorf High School in 1970. He participated in many sports, which were his passion.

He worked at Warren Packaging for 23 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and an ever greater passion for bowling where he accomplished a perfect 300 game. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and coaching baseball.

Steve is survived by his father, Donald Schaefer, Bettendorf; his wife, Sheri Schaefer, Davenport; daughter, Shanna Bolster-Younts (Ron), Milan, IL; son, Shane Schaefer, Davenport; brothers: Craig Schaefer (Judy), Terre Haute, IN, Thom Schaefer and Jeff (Monique) Schaefer, both of Texas and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Schaefer, brothers, Randy and Mark Schaefer and his grandparents and aunts and uncles.
