Steven D. Schmidt

Steven D. Schmidt, 72, of Davenport, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 12:00 PM in The Runge Mortuary chapel. Steven was born March 1, 1943 in Davenport; the son of Victor and Maxine (Jaegle) Schmidt. He was united in marriage to Nancy Weisbrook on March 19, 1965 in Davenport; she preceded him in death in 2013.

He proudly served in the Marine Corps. He worked as a Quality Control Manager in the manufacturing industry prior to his retirement. Steven enjoyed horses, boating, being outdoors and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie (Mike) Meyers, Jacksonville, NC and Nicole (Wesley) Gerdts, Solon, IA; grandchildren: Sydney, Grace, Sarah and Joey; sister, Susan Schmidt, Florida and his father Victor Schmidt, Davenport and special friend, Kelvin Sidney, Davenport. His mother preceded him in death.
