Susan Audrey Killip

Born on March 29, 1963, in Des Moines, Iowa, Sue was a beloved daughter to Roscoe & Judith (Williams) Lance. After graduating from Central High School class of 1981, she went on to study Communication Studies and Instructional Design and Technology at The University of Iowa, graduating with a master's degree. With her degree in communications Sue worked as a corporate coordinator with Anderson Consulting & later Accenture. Her 21-year long career had her organizing large corporate seminars and took her traveling around the world to China, Germany, Holland, Spain, and many other countries.

In that time, she was united in marriage to Scott Killip on July 10, 1993, after living in Chicago for 12 years they came back to Iowa to raise their children Austin & Audrey. The couple later divorced in 2011.

Sue was an inspirating and skilled cook, avid reader, music lover, and compassionate Democrat. She loved animals, nature, traveling, and reaching out a helping hand, her boundless generosity cannot be forgotten. Above all she valued her children, her love and care for them was absolutely endless.

Those left to honor her memory are her son Austin (Amara Davis) Killip, Davenport; daughter Audrey (Jack Beaudin) Killip, St. Kitts; brother John (Susan) Lance, Columbia, MO; Mother Judie Lance, Davenport; and niece & nephews Adam, Jack, & Ella.

Sue was preceded in death by her father and her life partner Steve Johnson.
