Suzanne F. Hedges

Funeral services for Suzanne F. Hedges, age 67, of Eldridge, IA, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Davenport. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. Mrs. Hedges died on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.Suzanne Frances Rueckert was born on July 15, 1942, to Karl and Gladys (Sissel) Rueckert in Muscatine, IA. On November 15, 1964 she married William H. Hedges in Muscatine.Mrs. Hedges was a graduate of Muscatine Community College where she obtained her Associate of Arts Degree in general studies. In earlier years Suzanne had worked at the Dog n' Suds in Muscatine, Krantz Florest in Muscatine and also as an Avon Representative. More recently she had worked as a department manager for several years at the Davenport Farm & Fleet Store and as a representative for Hallmark Cards. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Davenport where she belonged to the Joy Makers and loved to sew.Survivors include - her Husband: Bill; 2 Daughters: Jennifer (Paul) Kraklio of Walcott, IA, Emily (Michael) Osterman of Independence, MO; 1 Son: Paul (Sandra) Hedges of Davenport; 1 Sister: Karolyn (Ron) Subbert of Muscatine; 1 Brother William Rueckert of Mediapolis, IA; and 6 Grandchildren: Anna Hedges, Dayna Kraklio, Lucas Kraklio, Faith Kraklio, Daniel Osterman, and Ryan Osterman.She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 sisters, Karleen and Christel.Memorials may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
