Teal Loree Septer was born on March 10, 1959 in Mt. Pleasant, IA, the daughter of Dale and Virginia Septer. She married Clarence Nichting in the 1970s and they later divorced. Teal lived in Bettendorf for several years, previously living in Tucson, AZ where she was a caretaker of homebound patients. Teal always had a passion for working with those in need. She also loved her Native American collectibles and learned to make turquoise jewelry at Indian reservations in Arizona.
Teal was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Marlin and Tommy. Survivors include her son, Jeremiah “Jeremy” Nichting of Mt. Pleasant.
Other survivors include several cousins, her Aunt Evelyn Ericson of Libertyville, and a special cousin, Regina “Reggie” Stutzman of Bettendorf.
