Teresa A. Young

A memorial gathering to celebrate the life of Teresa A. Young, 60, of Davenport, will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport. A private service and burial will follow at a later date. It is requested that everyone attending wear purple as it was her favorite color. Mrs. Young died on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Teresa Ann Sharp was born on December 1, 1957 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Charlie and Sandra (Aubry) Sharp. She worked for the Iowa American Water Company for 25 years prior to going to work for the Davenport Public School System as a para educator, mostly at Buchanan Elementary School, retiring earlier this year due to failing health.

Teresa was a member of the Lady's of The Moose and loved animals, especially her dogs and cats. She was an avid Hawkeyes fan and also cheered for the Chicago Cubs. She most especially loved 80s music and her Mom - Daughter walks at West Lake Park.

Surviving members of the family include - her Daughter: Sara Young of Davenport; and 2 Brothers: Jeffrey (Jerri) Sharp of Davenport and Paul (Kim) Sharp of Rock Island; and many Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Nancy and Vickie.
