Theodore "Ted" Zettel

Funeral services for Theodore “Ted” A. Zettel, 49, of Davenport, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the mortuary. Mr. Zettel died on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at his residence in Davenport.Theodore Arthur Zettel was born on August 21, 1964 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Friedrich and Helen (Dougherty) Zettel. After graduating from Davenport West High School in 1982 he went on to attend Scott Community College where he received his associate degree in automotive mechanics. On May 12, 1990 he married Kimberly M. Wallace in Davenport.Mr. Zettel was employed by Scott County in the maintenance department and was the owner of Zettel Plastering for 22 years. He was a member of the Davenport West High School Class of “82” Four Horseman, and was an active supporter of St. Alphonsus Catholic School and the Parish fish fry’s.Surviving members of the family include – 2 Daughters: Brianna Zettel and Makayla Kittell both of Davenport; 2 Sons: Ryan Zettel and Jeremy Zettel both of Davenport; a Sister: Sue Zettel of Davenport; 1 Brother Fritz (Jeanne) Zettel of Coral Springs, FL, and 1 Grandson, Levi.
