Thomas F. Brophy

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at The Runge Mortuary and Crematory at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be made to Riverbend Food bank. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Thomas was born on September 16, 1952, in Davenport Iowa to Francis and Dorothy (Metz) Brophy. On March 23, 1991, he was united in marriage to Shari Wolf. They have enjoyed 34 years of marriage.

He was employed by Arconic (Alcoa) for 34 years and he had enjoyed retirement for 13 years, 6 months and 3 days. During the past 13 years he enjoyed traveling, going to the gym and having coffee with the friends he made there.

His favorite place to vacation was Disney World. He enjoyed 9 trips there with his wife and child. His favorite ride was the haunted mansion. His favorite people watching spot was from the rocking chairs at Port Orleans Riverside. In memory of Thomas, we ask that everyone please dress casually or wear a Disney themed shirt to the service!

Thomas is survived by his wife, Shari Brophy; child, Meghan Brophy and his grand cats, Blackie, Deliah and Number One. He is also survived by his sister, Colleen (Terry) Stone; brother, Jim Brophy; sister-in-law, Vicki (Randy) Day and their families.

Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy and Francis Brophy and sister in-law, Terese Brophy.
