Timothy F. Burroughs, 66, of Chillicothe, IL, died February 7, 2015, after a short battle with cancer. He was born in Shenandoah, IA, to Francis and Freda (Griffin) Burroughs and grew up in Ute, IA. He retired after 40 years as a pharmacist with Walgreens. He loved gardening, woodworking, traveling, and tormenting his family with puns. He was a voracious reader, especially of science fiction, with a life-long love of learning.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Bolte) Burroughs; two daughters, Jennie Burroughs and Katie (Jeff) Blum; siblings Ruth Aken, Joe, Raymond, Richard, Tony, David, Robert and Daniel; sister-in-law Laurie (Don) Marple; brother-in-law David (Susan) Bolte; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Tim Aken, and an infant sister.
