Timothy James Green

Timothy was born on March 26, 1982, in Iowa City, IA, to Todd and Diane (Geerts) Green. After his parents divorced, he was raised with his mother and stepfather, Steve Ott. He was employed as a factory worker and was currently working at Plews-Edelmann.

Timothy was a good natured, laid back, easy going man with a big heart who would do anything for anybody. He was a people person and liked by many. Timothy’s favorite hobby was playing video games and he was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Jets. He always had music playing and enjoyed going to concerts. Life was an adventure to him, he was a free spirit and did not take too much seriously. He enjoyed having a few drinks, smoking, and partying. Timothy was always reading, learning new things, and loved knowledge and random facts. He was also a great cook. Timothy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, most of all, his children. He was a single father raising his son, Karwen for the last 10 years and was his son’s best friend. He was great with children and would help his mother with their in-home childcare. Timothy had a special bond with his mother and knew he could always count on her. Out of all of his siblings, he was the one known to sometimes “stir the pot”. He would instigate them, then walk away. Life with Timothy was never dull and he always had big dreams of traveling and doing great things. He was one in a million and his presence, laughter, and love will be truly missed.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Alannah Green, LeClaire, IA; son, Karwen Green, Dixon, IL; mother, Diane Ott, Dixon, IL; stepfather, Steve Ott, Dixon, IL; brother, Joshua Green, LeClaire, IA; sister, Danalyn Ellis, Bettendorf, IA; along with two nieces and an uncle.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Geerts; uncle, Doug Geerts; and his cousin, Andrea Geerts.
