Tommie Lee Chaney Jr.

Tommie Lee Chaney Jr., 69 of Davenport, Iowa; passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Genesis East, Davenport. Funeral services will be held Friday July 10, 2026 at 11:00 at Weerts Funeral Home, 3625 Jersey Ridge Rd. Davenport, IA. Visitation will begin at 10:00. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. The repast will be at Knights of Columbus 1111 West 35th St. Davenport, Iowa 52806

Tommie was born May 31, 1957 at St. Luke Hospital Davenport, Iowa the son of Tommie Lee and Lucinda Chaney. He was a Welder. He loved fishing and attending a good BBQ or gathering because he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was the life of the party. He loved watching his western shows. Tommie loved playing the guitar. He was a member of the Church, the Truth Deliverance Center where he played as well. He was an avid Indianapolis Colt fan and would watch the NFL every Sunday.

Those left to honor his memory include his children LaTonya Salter, Terrell(Rekiya)Salter, Lucinda Chaney, Tashuna Mosley and James(Tolanda)Mosley; grandkids; Tre Cuff, JaVon Johnson, JaVarie Johnson, Terraya Salter, Terraji Salter, Terrell Salter Jr, Jareyreon Williams, Milania Williams, Champain Nimmers, Jasmine Mosley, Treyvon Smith, Tylaunt Smith; four great-grandchildren; along with a host uncles, aunts and cousins.

Tommie is preceded in death by his parents Tommie and Lucinda; his grandparents Tommie and Leola; love of his life Gloria Mosley and grandson Ahzeem McWlliams-Smith and host of uncles, aunts and cousins.
