Tonya L. Cox, 56, of Viola, Illinois passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her home following an extended illness. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Crescent Lake Club, 3456 N. 300th Street, Alpha, Illinois. On March 15, 1975 Tonya married Dennis Cox in Bettendorf, Iowa. She was employed at several places over the years, but the job she was proudest of was raising her three kids. Tonya was a member of the Board of Directors of the Crescent Lake Club, enjoyed camping and fishing, and was a Chicago Bears fan. She also enjoyed sitting around the campfire and playing with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Dennis and children Christena (David) Anderson, Bridget (Mike) Hildestad and Clinton (Heather) Cox; and grandchildren William and Tanner Hildestad and Caleb and Allison Cox. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Starns.
