Travis Shankle

Travis was born May 14, 1940 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Wendell and Phyllis (Pringle) Shankle. Travis was a self-employed roofer and sider for many years, until retiring. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews, watching football especially the Green Bay Packers, watching baseball especially the St. Louis Cardinals, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and drinking beer. He was also a member of the Rock Island Moose Club.

Those left to honor his memory, include his loving wife of 23 years Viola (Hubbs) Shankle, his children, Mark, Tony, Travis, and Darian. Step-children Candice (Craig) Covak, and Tim Hubbs. Half-sisters, Sharon (Joe) Paces, Wendy (Jon) Dumke. Step sisters, Gloria Batteau, Lois Thorndike, Myra Davis. Karen (Chuck) Rohm. Step brother, LeRoy Kemper, and several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and close friends Roger and Patti Hagen, and Ray Fromer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Travis Lee, daughter JoLynn, sister Patti Atwell, and half-sister, Penny.
