

Viola “Vi” M. Delp, 103, of Davenport, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Sunday, March 15, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Sunday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made Genesis Hospice. Online condolences and tributes may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Viola was born on November 27, 1911 in Fairfield, IA, the daughter of Henry A. and Sarah V. (Havner) Harper. She was united in marriage to Arthur W. Delp on December 23, 1933 in Memphis, MO. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1992. Viola retired from Davenshires after many years of service. She loved to play Bingo, Euchre and bowl and bowled in several tournaments. She also loved to travel with her husband to Washington, Canada and Alaska to name a few places and retired in Donna, TX. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #541. She is survived by her children and spouses, Corky Delp, Bettendorf, IA, Joan (George) Frost, Davenport, IA and George (Delana) Delp, Davenport, IA; grandchildren, Kerry Harper, Art Delp, Cindy McLane, Ronnie Harper, Cheryl Jebsen, Terry Delp, Sheila Stowe, Randy Delp, Teresa Ray, and Brandy Holst; numerous great and great, great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Marty Schuler, Duretta Abbott, Mary Coffman, and Nola Lance. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Andrew Harper; grandsons, James M. Smith and Jimmy Delp; sister-in-law, Esther Hart; brother-in-law, Lester “Jay” Delp; and daughter-in-law, Norma Delp.
