Virginia Lea Stewart

Virginia L. Stewart, 72, of Davenport died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born December 19, 1939 in Centerville, Iowa the daughter of Richard and Vivian (Brenegar) West. Virginia West was united in marriage to Harold Stewart February 1, 1959 in Centerville, Iowa. She was a homemaker and later worked for the Ramada Inn, Davenport for 20 years. She enjoyed embroidering, making blankets for her grandchildren. She loved going on road trips.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Harold; children and spouses Ronald E. Stewart, Bettendorf, Timothy L. Stewart, Davenport, Alan Stewart, Davenport, Tammy (Douglas) Arps, Yuma, AZ, Kathleen Stewart, Davenport; grandchildren Doug (Sabrina), Rebecca, Dan (Crystal), Eric, Leigha and Bailey; great granddaughter Kayley, Layla, Emma, Abigail; sister Judy (Larry) Long, Centerville, IA, brother Richard (Marcia) West.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sharon Decker.
