"I was born on May 25, 1938 to Eldon and Beulah Enid (Newby) Stice. I grew up without electricity or indoor plumbing. We had an ice box in the summer and windows in the winter for refrigeration, a wood stove for cooking, and lanterns at night. I had a happy life growing up, though very poor, but so was most everyone we knew. I attended a one room country school until graduating to high school in Clearfield, Iowa. My family moved to Corning, Iowa in 1952 where we enjoyed electricity and indoor plumbing. I graduated from high school in 1955. After graduation, I went to Des Moines where I worked for Hawkeye Security Insurance Company. I met Cliff, the Love of my Life, in 1956 on a blind date, we were engaged in 1957, and we were married on March 22, 1958. Jeri-Lyn was born in 1959, Brian in 1964, and Dana 1968; Jeri-Lyn passed away in 2008. I enjoyed time with my family and my "Sisters in Pink". I also enjoyed traveling and country dancing."
Bobbi is survived by her son Brian E. Smith of Eldridge, Iowa; her daughter Dana (Smith) Sharpe of Carbon Cliff, IL; grandsons: Bryn, John, Danny, and Kadyn; granddaughters: Nichole, LaShell, Kortney, and Bailey; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
