Vivian B. Tague, 100, of Davenport passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility in Bettendorf. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 pm Saturday at the mortuary. Mrs. Tague was born March 8, 1912 at Menlo, Iowa. On December 23, 1934 she married Rex J. Tague in Des Moines, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1969.
She was employed by Abrahams Department Store in Davenport and later joined her family in operating
Rex Academy in Davenport and Clinton Academy of Beauty in Clinton, Iowa. Her memberships included First Church of Christ Scientist in Davenport and AARP. She was a former member of the Davenport Business and Professional Women and served as a volunteer at Genesis East in the Auxiliary and the American Red Cross.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Garrity of Dubuque, Iowa and a son, Gary Tague of Davenport; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Fred Tague and a brother J.C. Dietrich.
