Warren N Wilder

Warren Norris Wilder, 73, of Davenport, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 am until the service at the church.

A private burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church or to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.therungemortuary.com

Warren was born August 4, 1938 in Mercer, MO; the son of Norris and Etheleen (McIntosh) Wilder. He was united in marriage to Joyce V. Stock on November 8, 1958 in Davenport. Warren served in the National Guard and worked for 46 years for Tri City Heat Treat, retiring in 2008.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, traveling and touring the countryside but, his greatest joy was seeing his children succeed in their lives. Warren and his wife also were foster parents to over 70 children.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Joyce, sons: Rodney (Deanna) Wilder, Tom Bean, TX; Kevin Wilder, Helotes, TX; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Norman (Betty) Wilder, Las Vegas, NM, his mother, Etheleen, Phoenix, AZ and numerous foster children. A daughter Linda and his father preceded him in death.
