William "Bill" Hennes

The family will greet friends from 4-7pm Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Runge Mortuary. Funeral services will be 9:00am Friday, July 17, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Bill was born June 2, 1941 in Minot, ND to Fred & Anastasia (Whitty) Hennes. He was united in marriage to Linda Ricketts on May 3, 1973 in Davenport, IA. Bill was an auto mechanic his entire life starting out at Sears & Strieter Motors before opening Bills Auto Repair which he operated for 30 plus years. Bill was also a co-owner of B & H Gutters for several years. Bill was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, loved to go camping, was a Hawkeye fan, and loved his baseball. Bill enjoyed having a good time and was well known by his friends for his annual fish fry’s which he held for 25 years. Survivors include his wife Linda Hennes, Davenport; Son Jeff (Tara) Hennes, Davenport; Grandchildren Hailey Hennes, Matthew (Sarah) Hennes, & Daniel Priester; Sister Joy (Cecil) Weeks; & brother Bob (Mary Lou) Hennes. Bill was preceded in death by his parents & a daughter Angela Hennes.
