

William (Bill) D. Mosher, 83, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away May 1, 2026. Services will be held Saturday May 9, 2026, at Weerts Funeral Home at 3625 Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, IA., 52807. The visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. The service will be held immediately following at 2:00 PM. Bill will be laid to rest at Davenport Memorial Park.
Bill was born December 4, 1942 in Davenport to Raymond and Eleanor (McGovern) Mosher. Bill was the first graduating class of Davenport West High School in 1961. He served as co-captain of the football team and class treasurer. After graduation he served proudly in the US Army Reserves.
Bill married Lorelei Foster on September 11th, 1965. They were married at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Davenport and were members of the church as well. Bill retired from Alcoa after 47 years. He started his career as a pipefitter, then he moved into maintenance doing electrical, heating and cooling. Bill also owned Mosher Air Conditioning.
Growing up he enjoyed spending time with the family at the cabin out by the Wapsi River. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Later he would camp with his wife and children. Bill was known for his strong work ethic and the many hours he worked. He enjoyed music and dancing. Bill was a member of the Davenport Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge.
Bill is survived by his daughter Darsey (David) Fondell of Davenport; son Jason Mosher of Davenport; girlfriend Connie Mitchell Hoffman of Eldridge; his son-in-law Mike Bell of Davenport; daughter-in-law Gail Elder of Davenport; his grandchildren Blake (Venecia) Mosher of Davenport, Alex (Holly) Dearborn of Davenport, Stephen (Ebone) Dearborn of Davenport, Ryan (Jenna) Mosher of Davenport, Hunter (Savannah Pickett) Bell of Davenport, and Shelli (Shane) Thoensen of Davenport; sister Carol (John) Muhlhausen of Bettendorf; brother-in-law Skip (Tammy) Foster of Eagan, Minnesota; and great-grandchildren Easton, Kylie, Emelia, June, Saoirse, Liam, Stephen Jr., Jade, and Levi.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years Lori Mosher; his parents Raymond and Eleanor Mosher; in-law's Neal Sr. and Betty Foster; his daughter Julie Temple; daughter Stephanie Bell; and granddaughter Ellie Dearborn.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Davenport.
