William E. Raney, 64, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Genesis West Medical Center. Graveside services will be Monday, October 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm at National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be Monday from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Billy was born November 30, 1950 in Davenport, the son of Arthur and Betty (Elsie) Raney. He was united in marriage to Suzanne Hansen on April 11, 1975 in Davenport. He worked as a chef for Olive Garden prior to his retirement.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Suzanne; daughters: Michelle (Bryan) Barnhart, Davenport and Tammy; sons: Jacob Raney, Davenport and Chipper; his mother, Betty Raney, Davenport; grandchildren: Mya and Temprance Barnhart; brothers, Danny and Arthur Jr., both of Davenport; sisters: Diane Reynolds, TX; Bonita Garrow and Connie Cox of Davenport and numerous nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death.
