William R. Schlemmer

William “Bill” Richard Schlemmer, 63, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 in Davenport. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 11 am until 2 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Bill was born August 9, 1951 in Davenport; the son of Carl Schlemmer and Lucille (Brown) Coleman. He was united in marriage to Shari L. Parish on April 7, 1978 in Davenport; she preceded him in death on March 27, 2006.

He was a great grandpa who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He loved spending time with his family and loved his beloved dog, River.

Those left to honor his memory include his children: Scott (Sue) Schlemmer, Stacy (Rosie) Rosenow and Shawn (Heather) Schlemmer; grandchildren: A.J., Anna, Roxanne, Ashley, Kaleb and Khloe; great grandchildren: Allison, Lucy, Austin, Landyn and Darryn; brothers: Earnie, John and Larry Schlemmer; sisters: Bonnie Paige and Betty Schlemmer and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Marvin and Bob Schlemmer.
