William “Bill” Smyser, 73, of Davenport, passed away at the Good Samaritan Society on Saturday, September 20, 2025. A visitation to celebrate Bill will be Thursday, October 2nd from 10 am until 12:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. There will be no services. His final resting place will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bill was born in Davenport on December 17, 1951. He was the son of William and Mary (Jones) Smyser. Prior to retiring he had worked at Toys R Us and the Handicapped Development Center (Empowering Abilities).
He found joy in playing his guitar, listening to music, spending time outdoors and shopping at dime stores.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
